The military-historical festival "Kirillo- Belozersky Siege" is a celebration of the history of the 17th century for residents and guests of the Vologda Region. The participants of the festival are military-historical clubs from all over Russia.
Historical reenactment festival "Kirillo- Belozersky Siege" will be held in Kirillov on June 21-22. The festival has been staged in the Kirillo-Belozersky museum for several years. It is one of the most spectacular summer events in Kirillov.
The battle between the Russian soldiers and the Polish and Lithuanian invaders for the besieged medieval fortress-city will be in the centre of the action. The festival participants will recreate the military customs of the 17th century.
Along with the military component, the festival also highlights everyday history, crafts and cuisine. Household items, clothing, weapons, armor and jewelry help to recreate the picture of the life of ancestors.
The program of the festival also includes a historical fair, medieval amusements and melodies of medieval music.
