Delegation from Vologda Region visited the Chinese People’s Republic.

An official visit of Vologda’s experts led by Deputy Governor Alexei Kozhevnikov was arranged at the invitation of the Chinese party. Among the members of the delegation are local government officials and top leadership of major Vologda’s companies.
On a visit to China, Vologda’s experts held negotiations with the Deputy Governor of Hebei Province and attended some leading enterprises of the Chinese People’s Republic. In addition to it, the delegation from Vologda participated in the China (Langfang) International Economic &Trade Fair held in Langfang on May 18. The main objective of the visit was to define guidelines for future cooperation.
The relations between the Vologda Oblast and China have been dynamically expanding in recent times. The goods turnover is increasing against a backdrop of regular exchanges of official and working delegations of the regions as well as of groups of entrepreneurs.
China with its ever-increasing industrial production is looking for new markets for its goods. The Chinese partners intend to further expand the country’s strategic partnership, including investments into the economy of the Vologda Oblast, namely the timber complex and agribusiness.
The Vologda Region is dynamically and self-assuredly increasing its foreign economic potential and is continuously expanding and improving its international ties as well.
