Czech businessmen strive to develop partnership relations with Vologda Region.

A delegation from the Czech Republic led by Consul General of the Czech Republic in St. Petersburg Mr. Karel Kyunl arrived in the Vologda Region to define guidelines for further partnership ties with the top leadership of the Vologda Oblast.
Mr. Karel Kyunl stressed that the Vologda Region is one of the priority areas of the Russian Federation, where the trade relations between the two parties are actively developing. He hoped this cooperation will boost in the future.
On a visit to the Vologda Region, Mr. Karel Kyunl and representatives of eleven Czech companies are to meet the top leadership of Vologda and Cherepovets, and to hold negotiations with local entrepreneurs.
Czech businessmen and Vologda’s companies are eager to boost cooperation in such spheres as industrial and civil construction, engineering, transport, communal services and financial sector.
On September 20-21 Vologda’s and Cherepovets’ enterprises will be able to present their economic potential to the top leadership of Czech companies. It will be an ideal B2B event for establishing new partnerships and developing business.
The representatives of the Czech business mission have experience in the implementation of joint projects on the territory of the Russian Federation and are interested in development of cooperation with enterprises and firms in the Vologda Region.
The Czech Republic remains one of the most reliable trade partners of the Vologda Region. In the first half of 2016 the commodity turnover between the Vologda Oblast and the Czech Republic made up USD 61 mln.
Czech companies cooperate with such enterprises as Phosagro (Cherepovets) and Vologda Road-Making Machine Plant (Vologda). The Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic and the Vologda Oblast have been sustaining partnership ties since 2005 in such spheres as culture, economy, tourism, education, small- and medium-sized businesses, fair and exhibition activities, firefighting and rescue service. A Czech visa application centre was opened in Vologda. It may increase the flow of tourists between the Vologda Oblast and the Czech Republic.
