Vologda’s enterprises delivered over a ton of sweets to Damascus, Syria.
On New Year's Eve, sweets, books and gifts for Syrian children were handed over by a delegation of the Vologda Oblast Government led by Deputy Governor Eduard Zainak. The humanitarian mission was organized by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Vologda’s authorities met with Syrian children at hospitals and wished them a speedy recovery.
The Syrian side highly appreciated the humanitarian aid of the Russian Federation and gratefully accepted the assistance.
