A delegation from Vologda Region visited Chinese People’s Republic.

A delegation of the Vologda Region led by First Deputy Governor Dmitry Gorbachyov took part in the 2023 China (Langfang) International Economic and Trade Fair.
The 2023 China Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair is co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs and the government of Hebei province.
Launched in 2000 in Langfang, the annual fair has been one of the most important investment and trade platforms in north China's Hebei Province.
This year's event was themed "To jointly build an important base for modern trade logistics and to promote the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region".
Conferences and exhibitions involving international cross-border e-commerce platforms and intelligent logistics were held during the fair.
The city of Langfang saw its first China-Europe freight train leave the station in February 2023. It left the country, passed through Mongolia and finally arrived at its destination in Moscow 17 days later. The freight train service is of great significance to further promoting the coordinated development of Russia-China relations.
During the forum, the top leadership of Chinese international transport company Taitong International Transport Co., Ltd invited members of Vologda’s delegation to get acquainted with the work of the international logistics center in Baoding, a prefecture-level city in central Hebei province. Taitong International Transport Co., Ltd is a large transport company of the Chinese province of Hebei.
"The trade turnover between Russia and China has increased by 40.7% this year. Russia is one of China’s leading trading partners. There is a constant trend towards an increase of foreign trade turnover between China and the Vologda Region. Having held negotiations with the leadership of Hebei Province, I can state that China is ready to cooperate in several spheres. We consider a possibility of signing agreements on economic cooperation between the Vologda Region and the cities of Langfang and Baoding," said First Deputy Governor Dmitry Gorbachyov.
