Cherepovets Industrial Park

A territory of advanced socio-economic development was created in Cherepovets in August 2017.
The city of Cherepovets strives to provide favorable conditions for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. Companies wishing to open a new production facility are invited to establish it on an industrial site with a full-fledged engineering and transport infrastructure - on the territory of the Cherepovets Industrial Park. This is an area of 54 hectares, located 17 km from the city. The park is located between the production facilities of Severstal PJSC and PhosAgro-Cherepovets JSC. It provides tax preferences for investors.
About the project
The purpose of the Cherepovets Industrial Park project is to create an investment platform with the entire necessary infrastructure, and to create favorable conditions for the implementation of private investment projects by opening modern production facilities in already developing sectors of the economy and new ones. Total volume of investments amounts to over 5 bln rubles.
Advantages of Cherepovets Industrial Park
- Advantageous geographical location at the junction of three economic regions: the European North, the Northwest and the Center of Russia. The uniqueness of the territorial location of the industrial site is in its location at the intersection of all types of transport communications: railways and highways of federal significance, the Volga-Baltic Waterway and the Europe-Asia air corridor, which makes it possible to assemble a multifunctional "package" of infrastructures.
- The project is implemented with the support of the Vologda Region Government and the Cherepovets City Hall. The operator of the project is the Investment Agency Cherepovets that supervises investors at all stages: from a business idea to the construction site.
- The park site is equipped with utilities (gas, water, electricity, auto and railway roads) necessary for the opening of production.
- A potential resident is exempt from land tax and property tax for the first 10 years.
- Residents also enjoy preferences and privileges on income tax: in the first five years, a reduced rate is applied - 5%, over the next five years - 10%.
- Investors can receive regional tax benefits if their projects are included in the the region’s priority list with an investment volume of more than 100 million rubles and/or the creation of at least 100 working places.
Program of development
The project is of great importance for the diversification of the city’s economy and reducing the level of mono-dependence. It is planned to expand the park’s territory by 100 hectares.
