Powers and Duties

Nikolai Kupriyanov coordinates the work of the executive bodies and local government divisions and issues instructions in the following areas:

ensuring the sustainable development of territories on the basis of territorial planning, urban planning zoning, planning of territories for capital construction facilities, their reconstruction and capital repairs;
management and disposal of property owned by the Vologda Region;
implementation of the unified state policy in the field of land relations in the territory of the region;
provision, management and disposal of land as a natural object and natural resource;
issues related to agricultural production, including the development of the food and processing industry, management of livestock breeding, seed production, land reclamation, formation and regulation of the market for agricultural products, agricultural raw materials, food, fishing and conservation of aquatic biological resources, aquaculture (fish farming);
issues related to the development of the agro-industrial complex;
ensuring uninterrupted supply of high-quality food products to the population of the region;
planning of agricultural land use;
organization, protection and use of specially protected natural territories.
