Sweden: Upgrade

The Swedish Trade Council in Russia, Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Swedish Institute hold Sweden: Upgrade - the largest Swedish business project ever carried out in Russia.

Sweden : Upgrade is a road show through some of the regions in the European part of Russia aiming to update the image of Sweden, with a whole series of events ranging from business meetings to cultural performances to seminars. Each city offers different possibilities for Swedish companies looking to expand in the Russian regions.

This special initiative started late in March, 2006 with a big opening event in St. Petersburg and will run through the middle of June with a road show through selected Russian regions (St.Petersburg, Vologda, Cherepovets, Yaroslavl, Kazan, Cheboksary, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara) and a Grand Expo in Moscow.

The second stop in the Russian regions of the road show within the frame work of Sweden: Upgrade project will be in Vologda, April 4-9, 2006.

Aim of the activities:

• lay the groundwork for the business relations between the Swedish and Vologda Oblast companies;
• introduce the business opportunities of the Vologda Oblast to the Swedish companies ;
• present the Swedish companies to the local business circles;
• establish contacts with the local authorities and leading enterprises in the region.
