Vologda Region to cooperate with Moscow Region.

Today in Vologda, Acting Governor of Vologda Region Oleg Kuvshinnikov and Governor of Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov signed an agreement on trade, economic, scientific, social and cultural cooperation. The agreement defines guidelines for cooperation for 2015-2016.

“The Moscow Region is an important strategic partner for us. On the initiative of the RF President, most Russian regions are actively involved in the program of import substitution. Our task is to replace the goods and products that are currently not supplied to the Russian market with the local products. Vologda’s producers are ready for it”, said Mr. Kuvshinnikov.

The signing of the agreement will boost areas of cooperation between the regions. First of all, provision of environmentally friendly products for the population of Vologda and Moscow regions, delivery of Vologda’s staple products under the trademark “Vologda Made Product” to retail network of the Moscow Region.

This trademark of staple products produced on the territory of Vologda region can be considered an established regional brand.

A system of voluntary certification under the same name "Vologda Made Product" is a sign for clients and consumers that our goods and services focus on quality and are run with efficiency.

The oblast exports considerable amounts of food products: milk, poultry, meat and famous Vologda butter. High quality of products under the Vologda Made Product trademark was repeatedly awarded with various prizes.

Over 850 branded food articles produced by Vologda's agricultural enterprises get the highest marks with consumers when it comes to the quality and value.

Seventeen enterprises located on the territory of the Vologda Oblast are leading suppliers of branded food products in the food service industry. They offer a broad range of trusted, time-honoured goods that food service operators across the region and the country have come to depend on.

Acting Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov also suggested Andrei Vorobyov expanding cooperation between industrial enterprises of the regions. In particular they discussed a possibility of holding a joint business mission on the territory of the Moscow Region aiming to establish direct business relations and exchange of experience as part of the project "E-business cooperation". It is also planned to cooperate in such spheres as tourism and public health care.
