Vologda Oblast is ready for the Paralympics Torch Relay.

The ceremonial relaying of the Paralympics Flame will be kicked off on February 26th, 2014. The relay will pass through 45 cities in all eight federal districts of Russia, beginning in the Pacific port city of Vladivostok on February 26, three days after the Winter Olympics end.
The torch will travel first north and then west before reaching its final destination at Sochi’s Fisht stadium for the Paralympics opening ceremony on March 7.
On March 2nd the flame will be carried to Cherepovets, an industrial centre of the Vologda Oblast, and the city will become the 24th component of Sochi’s Paralympics Torch Relay.
More than 1,500 people will take part in the Sochi Paralympics Torch Relay. At least 300 of the torchbearers will be people with disabilities.
Over 10 days several cities will host a day long flame festival aiming to support the Paralympic Games and their athletes.
Cherepovets’ torchbearers will take the flame on a tour of the local area giving as many people as possible to see the flame and engage with it.
