Oleg Kuvshinnikov congratulated mass media people on the professional holiday - the Day of the Russian Press that was marked in Russia on January 13.

The means of mass-media are considered one of the most important elements of a public society today and the basis of the state’s informational policy. The importance of the press is determined not only by the ability to provide people with trustworthy and objective information but also by the ability to take a civil position contributing into the consolidation of social bases and stability in the society.
