Сooperation will be continued within the framework of the International festival of traditional American music. Russian - American festivals featuring traditional American music have been held in Vologda Oblast for six years. The event always takes place on the territory of the Vologda Kremlin and nearby cities. Over the last years American groups and musicians introduced the Russian public to the music of blues, bluegrass, zydeco and konhunto.
In addition to musical events, the US Consulate General in St. Petersburg has established partnership ties with the Vologda State Museum-Preserve on restoration of architectural monuments.
Both parties are eager to develop long- lasting and widening partnership of the Vologda Region and the USA, a partnership based on good will and the desire to preserve and multiply the values shared by our peoples.
