Free museum day on May 15.

On May 15th, many of the region's museums and galleries offer free entry in order to have a more diverse range of visitors.

The entrance to the Vologda State Museum - Preserve and its branches will be free of charge for all categories of residents, schoolchildren and students of the Vologda Region.

The local government introduced free admission in 2019, since when it has become an accepted fact of cultural life. On the third Wednesday of each month, residents of the region can visit museums for free.
