International success of Vologda’s accordionist.

The young accordionist from the Vologda Musical College Alexander Komelkov appeared among the best performers in the 64th international accordionists’ competition Trophee Mondiale organised in Kaunas, Lithuania on September 23-28, 2014. He took the first place.

The won first place in the global competition showed the wonderful mastery of the performer and high quality of work of his teachers.

Trophee Mondial is one of the most prestigious international accordion competitions in the world. This year the prestigious competition brought the best and the brightest of the accordion world to Lithuania, for an exciting week of grueling mastery of technique and sound.

Over 120 accordionists from 20 countries - Russia, the USA, China, France, Germany, Italy, Serbia, Great Britain, Finland, Brazil, Portugal and others showcased their considerable talent.

The competition ran for six days. Spectators attended daily competitions, nightly concerts and enjoyed the art of the accordion in various locations during the event.

The young musicial from Vologda competed in the category Junior Classique and took the first place. In the category Junior Variete Alexander Komelkov took the third place.

Now the young musician from Vologda will perform at the World Accordion competition held in Salzburg, Austria.
