Finland opens a visa centre in Vologda.

From now on, Vologda’s residents planning to visit Finland can submit visa applications at a new visa centre in Vologda that was opened on October 3. Consul of the Consulate General of Finland in St. Petersburg arrived in Vologda to open a visa centre. Thus, Finland which is one of the most often visited countries by Russians has become closer to Vologda.
Finland plans to expand its system of visa centres to Russia. At the current Finland has visa centres in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Petrozavodsk, Murmansk, Kazan Yekaterinburg and other Russian cities. Record numbers of Russians are coming to Finland for holidays, shopping, work or studies.
The visa application centre in Vologda became the twentieth one opened by Finland this year.
The new centre has already started accepting applications for visas to Schengen. Now all those who wish to spend Christmas and New Year holidays in Finland can submit visa applications to the newly opened centre.
