Delegation from Vologda Oblast found investment partners in Denmark.

On April 14-16, a delegation from Vologda led by Deputy Governor Alexei Kozhevnikov visited Copenhagen on a business mission. The visit was organised by the Department of Economic Development of the Vologda Oblast Government with an active backing of the RF Trade Representation in the Kingdom of Denmark.
The members of Vologda’s delegation included representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Food Stocks, the Department of Economic Development, heads of the region’s agricultural enterprises.
The main objective of the business mission was to establish and develop cooperation between the Vologda Oblast and Denmark in the sphere of agriculture, namely establishment of a cattle breeding complex, production of fodder, organic fertilizers and biofuel in the region.
On a visit to Copenhagen, Vologda’s delegation visited such Danish companies as Scanova A/S that is engaged in delivery of cattle, equipment and products for livestock and Foss A/S that develops, manufactures, and sells analytical instruments and solutions to companies and mid-size and smaller businesses of agricultural, food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries in Denmark and internationally.
On April 15th, the Russian Trade Representation in Denmark arranged a round table discussion devoted to investment cooperation in agribusiness between Vologda’s and Danish farmers. A presentation of economic potential of the Vologda Region, its agricultural complex and investment projects was held within the framework of the round table discussion.
Mr. Hansen, Director General of Danish Farmers Abroad, an association of large international agricultural companies, suppliers of agricultural equipment and production means and the top leadership of the Vologda Region Development Corporation signed a Memorandum of cooperation in agribusiness.
The Memorandum provides for the expansion of foreign economic relations between the organizations of the Vologda Region and business circles of the Kingdom of Denmark, development of investment cooperation, organization of joint work in realization of investment projects in agriculture.
