Carbon black is exported by rail from Vologda to Vietnam.

The Northern Railway has started exporting carbon black from Vologda by container trains. This is an alternative route. Previously, cargo was delivered to the ports of St. Petersburg by road.

In April, more than 130 containers with technical carbon were shipped. Then the cargo will proceed by sea to Vietnam and Cambodia.

More than 160 containers with technical carbon are currently being prepared for shipment.

Carbon black is used as a colorant and reinforcing filler in tires and other rubber products and as a pigment and wear protection additive in plastics, paints, and ink pigment. About 70% of the total carbon black produced is used in the manufacture of tires, and 20% is used in the manufacture of rubber products.
