A German delegation arrived in Vologda Oblast on a business mission.

The German delegation is led by Katrin Werdermann, Deputy Consul General of Germany in St. Petersburg. Among the members of the delegation there are Dr. Gabriele Kötschau, head of the Representation of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce in North/West Russia, St. Petersburg, Mr. René Harun, Director of the North-West Branch Office, German-Russian Chamber of Commerce, St. Petersburg and Gerd Fennefrohn, coordinator of the educational program German Language Diploma in the Northwestern region of Russia.
On a visit to Vologda, on February 24th the German delegation met with Deputy Governor Alexei Kozhevnikov, mayor of Vologda City Yuvgeny Shulepov and top leadership of the Vologda Oblast Development Corporation and Department of Economic Development. Then, the members of the German delegation had a meeting with students and professors of the Vologda State Pedagogical University (faculty of foreign languages), visited the Vologda Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Vologda City hall.
On February 25th the German guests will move to Sheksna Industrial Park and attend Severstal pipe-producing plant Sheksna.
On February 26th the German delegation will go to Cherepovets to hold negotiations with the city’s mayor Yuri Kuzin. The program of the visit also includes a meeting with professors and students of the Cherepovets State University and the chamber of Commerce and Trade.
