The Day of Knowledge is celebrated in Russia on September 1. It marks the start of the academic year for schoolchildren and college students.

Vologda Multi-discipline Lyceum, General Education Lyceum AMTEK of Cherepovets and Lyceum No. 32 of Vologda entered the top 300 schools in Russia in terms of graduate competitiveness.

Since the beginning of 2025,  export of wood products from the Vologda Region to Turkey have reached 40.400 cubic meters. This is 23% more than in the same period of 2024 (32.700 cubic meters).

Since the beginning of 2025, 464 tons of ice cream have been exported from the Vologda Region to six countries in Asia and Africa.

The Russian Forest, the 30th successive exhibition for innovation technologies to be applied in the timber industry, in production of technological equipment for forestry and manufacture of wood and wood-working articles, will start its work in Vologda on December 5.
