The national tourist route will unite unique World Heritage sites, Orthodox churches and monuments of wooden architecture of the entire Russian North into a single network.

The Russian Forest is an annual international trade fair that presents products, services and technologies for the forestry, pulp and paper, and woodworking industries, as well as for timber machinery enterprises.

In first seven months of 2025, more than 4,000 tons of livestock products and 785,000 cubic meters of timber were exported from the Vologda Region.

On the eve of Builder's Day, Vologda Region Governor Georgy Filimonov presented orders, medals and honorary title certificates to outstanding Vologda's residents for their tangible contribution to socio-economic development of the region.

The Blacksmith Festival takes place annually in August. This year it will be held on August 8-9. It is timed to coincide with the day of city foundation.
