The Russian Forest, the 29th successive exhibition for innovation technologies to be applied in the timber industry, in production of technological equipment for forestry and manufacture of wood and wood-working articles, will start its work in Vologda on December 4.

The festival is named after Valery Gavrilin, the great Russian composer, People's artist of Russia who was born in Vologda. This year it is devoted to the 85th  birthday anniversary of Valery Gavrilin.

The Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Preserve is a place of great historical significance. The majestic architectural ensemble of the Кirillo-Belozersky Monastery is one of the largest in Russia. It has kept architectural monuments of XV-XIX centuries, massive walls and towers.

A large-scale project "Winter of the Russian North" was launched on the initiative of Governor Georgy Filimonov. Numerous events covering different genres and styles of music, crafts and theatre will be held within the framework of the "Winter of the Russian North" project.

The Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Vologda Region controlled the shipment of birch chaga to Vietnam. All products passed quarantine phytosanitary control and comply with international quarantine phytosanitary requirements of the importing country.
