Consul General of India in St. Petersburg Mr. Arun Kumar Sharma and Deputy Governor Alexei Kozhevnikov met at the presentation of trade, economic and investment potential of the Vologda Region.

An exhibition devoted to Greek mythology and characters of Russian fairy tales within the ongoing cross-cultural year 2016 for Russia and Greece opened at the Vologda Regional Academic Library. It presents over 130 students’ works - drawings and works of applied art from across the region.

Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Vladimir Stepanov, Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov and local government officials arrived in Veliky Ustyug to inspect the water resources situation in the region. Means and facilities of the territorial subsystem of Emergency Situation Department of the Vologda Oblast are ready for reliable and accident-free passage of snowmelt floods and flood waters, said Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov.

The international conference “Wooden house-building and wood-processing” is to be held in the Vologda Region for the fourth time. A lot of exhibitors and visitors are expected to come to Cherepovets to attend the exhibition to see the variety of houses made of timber and logs and frame-panel houses.

International competition for performers on wind and percussion "Northern Rhapsody" is to be held in Cherepovets from April 15 through April 17, 2016.
