Two Vologda’s enterprises received the Quality Mark of the 21st Century at the International Exhibition (Contest) “All-Russian Brand (3rd Millennium). Quality Mark of the 21st century”.

The 32nd International Exhibition (Contest) “All-Russian Brand (3rd Millennium). Quality Mark of the 21st century” was held in Moscow. The national programme “All-Russian Brand (3rd Millennium). Quality Mark of the 21st century” is a long-term large-scale campaign promoting high-quality goods, services and advanced technologies in the Russian market and integrating them into the word market. During the existence of the Program since 1999, over 1100 companies from 72 Russian regions and 7 Russia’s neighboring countries have participated in it.

Vologda will become home to the 20th International fair and exhibition Russian Wood on December 2nd, 2015.

The Russian Wood, exhibition for innovation technologies to be applied in the timber industry, in production of technological equipment for forestry and manufacture of wood and wood-working articles, will start its work in Vologda on December 2, 2015.

Vologda Oblast Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov gave an interview to Interfax-Northwest news agency in St.Petersburg.

To begin with, Mr. Kuvshinnikov reminded the journalists of the main specialities of the Vologda Region – the world famous Vologda butter, Ded Moroz, the Russian equivalent to Santa Claus, Vologda Linen, Vologda lace, a world famous brand, carefully kept by its residents, and other ancient traditions of national crafts.

Olympic Residence of Ded Moroz that was used at the Olympic Park in Sochi was opened in Vologda.

The Olympic Residence of Father Frost was officially opened in the Veterans’ Park during the Maslenitsa celebrations on February 22.
