The Blacksmith Festival takes place annually in August. This year it will be held on August 9-10. It will be held as part of the Summer of Russian North project initiated by Acting Governor Georgy Filimonov.
This year "Zheleznoye Pole" (Iron Field) was dedicated to the Year of the teacher and mentor. It was aimed at developing the brand "Ustyuzhna - the city of blacksmiths", popularization of blacksmithing craft in the Vologda Region, exchange of experience and creative communication of craftsmen.

Today, on November, 19th the exhibition "The Russian Path. From Dionysius to Malevich" has opened in the Vatican. It depicts iconography with the XIX-XX centuries and shows the spiritual path of Russian art.
