The Russian Folklore Festival "Village - the Soul of Russia" took place in Kadui District on July 2-3.
Russian President Vladimir Putin declared 2022 the year of folk art and the intangible cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation.
A year ago an Interregional Folklore Festival "The Village - the Soul of Russia" received the status of Russian festival.

One of the major transportation routes connecting Central Russia and the Urals passes through the settlement of Kadui. Kadui is 18 km off the federal highway "Vologda-Novaya Ladoga" that links St.Petersburg with Veliky Ustyug, the hometown of Father Frost, and 56 km from Cherepovets, a big railway junction.
