Committee on Information Technologies and Telecommunications

Overview

The Ministry of Digital Development is authorized for carrying out policy in the sphere of information technologies, telecommunications and communication. It carries out its tasks and functions directly, also through the local executive and administrative bodies, subordinate organizations and institutions.

Within its competence, the Ministry of Digital Development performs the following functions:

• implementation of regional state policy in the field of information technology;
• digital development, including development and management of information society and formation of e-government in the Vologda Oblast;
• implementation of information security measures in relation to the state information systems of the region used by the Vologda Region Government, the executive authorities and their subordinate institutions;
• maintaining the register of state information systems of the Vologda Oblast;
• implementation of regulation in the field of informatization in the Vologda Oblast;
• development of telecommunication links;
• management of information and telecommunication resources, information systems of the region;
• planning, organization, control, accounting and reporting concerning informatization of the Vologda Oblast.
