The ensemble "Cherepovets" was founded in 1990. Its creative credo is a synthesized stage performance based on ritual traditions and ethnographic material of the North-West of Russia.

The Russian North contains numerous native communities, each with its own distinctive history and musical culture. These communities have developed extraordinarily diverse and multifaceted performance traditions.

Professional musicians, dancers and singers of the ensemble perform songs, dances, rituals, games of the peoples of the Russian North in a bright spectacular form.

The dance and pantomime theatre "Trans-Theatre" is the only musical troupe in Russia's North-West working in such a rare theatrical genre.

Pantomime performances are international and understandable to any audience. Over the years, the theatre has implemented many theatrical projects and created its own unique style of plastic language.
