The All-Russian Youth Ecological Forum "Ecosystem" was held for the first time in Cherepovets (Vologda Region) in 2021.

The Russian Hunting festival will be held for the second time on the territory of the Museum of Architecture and Ethnography Semyonkovo.

Vologda’s manufacturers are increasing export of products to the Chinese People’s Republic. For 6 months of 2023, the region delivered its products in the amount of USD 9 mln to China, which is 2.5 times more than the same period in 2022.

In the first half of 2023 fish farms of the region (20 organizations) produced 688 tons of fish, by 21% more compared to the last year figure during the same period.

All subjects of the country will take part in the large-scale federal project which will start in November 2023 and last till April 2024.

Vologda traditionally celebrates its founding during the last weekend in June. This year the city celebrates its 876th birthday. The city will celebrate its birthday for 2 days on June 24-25.

During SPIEF-2023 the Vologda Region’s forum agreements were signed to the tune of RUB 31 billion. The programme of the forum was intense. The delegation from the Vologda Region held over 30 meetings and signed 10 agreements.

Prospects for further cooperation between the Vologda Region and the Republic of Belarus were discussed at the 26^th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvsinnikov and Mikhail Shamolin, President of the Segezha group signed a treaty on cooperation within the framework of XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The parties agreed to build a new paper machine at the group’s paper factory in Sokol, Vologda region.
