The Pushkinskaya Karta project (Pushkin cards) which provides Russian young people with free access to the treasures of Russian culture started working on September 1, 2021. Its participants are Russian museums, theaters, concert halls, philharmonic societies, libraries and other centers of culture of federal and local significance, including private ones.
Ded Moroz set out on his traditional tour of Russia and foreign countries in the run-up to the New Year after his birthday on November 18.
The winner of the Cultural Capital of Russia 2027 competition will be announced on December 14. The final decision will be made by the organizing committee, based on the combined results of the expert evaluation and public voting.
The project is organized by the Vologda Region Government.
The festival will take place as part of the Winter of the Russian North project initiated by Vologda Region Governor Georgy Filimonov. It is not just a celebration of horse breeding and traditions - it is an important element of promoting the cultural and tourist potential of the Vologda Region.
